oh wow I did bharatha natyum dance for about 10 years and this is absolutely beautiful. It's so rare that I see indian dance inspired work. To agree with ~gaara-eyes, the height of the leg is perfectly accurate since she is wearing a dance sari, not a regular one.
Are you familiar with classical Indian dance or did you find a reference picture for this?
I just watched an Indian dance today (live and three rows back) and that looks exactly like one of her poses!
As ~Firgof-Umbra said, it does look like she would fall if she moved her leg any higher. However, after seeing the dance in person, I think it's pretty accurate. She would fall over if she lifted her leg any higher!
Anyway, lighting, shading, pose, clothes, the ankle bells, everything looks great.

Excellent. Yes indeed, you are now fav'ed. You have some very nice work on display in your gallery! This picture is no exception to that rule either.
The pose is great and the way you represented your lighting sources is good as well. Light vs. dark shading is well done in this picture and if I had to point out something to complain, I'd pick out the fact that the cloth tied to her back is represented under her dress, yet the cloth doesn't look like it would be able to go under there realistically; also the fabric on her leg makes it look like she's going to fall should her leg go any higher.
That's just my short critique on this one. Other than that, this is very well done. I like it. This is fav'ed as well. By the way, I'm faving your gallery too. Thanks for putting up such excellent pieces for us humble viewers to look upon and smile at the majesty of.
