Nausicaa of the Valley of Wind does not have enough Fanart. So here is one of mine. It pales in comparison to the wonder of the manga, but I still like it.
Hi! I am in search of new members for our club and came across this wonderful deviation! Would you like to join? We would love to feature your work in our gallery so that fans can see a wider variety of Nausicaa fan art collectively!
Thanks in advance from the Nausicaa club, hope to hear back from you!
I agree! Everybody seems to just do fanarts of Naruto and Bleach (like I'm the one to talk ). It's just so funny the way he goes from saying "mummy" to "I am Ohma, warrior, arbitrator and judge" in just a couple of hours.
You're quite right about something, there isn't as much fan art for Nausicaa as there should be.
For any of those that care to know about the director, Hayo Miyazaki, this movie was basically what set off his making of Studio Giblie, what made all those other great movies he did.
Now, as for the artwork, having never actually seen the manga version, though with the intention to do so, I can't really know if you saying this "pales in comparison" is true. The style seems almost right out of the story, and the coloring is simply amazing. I remember hearing that in making that creature he wanted something that, to say the least, was completely different then anthing done before. You certainly remade that exact idea I must say.
Wonderful work indeed. Miyazaki would be proud lol
I completely forgot how huge Ohma was! He was such a sweet-heart, though. He cared greatly for his "mother" ^^
